Victor Osimhen's future was a major talking point throughout the summer transfer window.
The Nigerian striker enjoyed a magnificent 2022-23 at Napoli, with his 26 goals and impressive all-round play helping fire the Partenopei to their first Serie A title since 1990.
Interest in the 24-year-old remains high, with numerous Premier League and Saudi Pro League clubs jostling to acquire his coveted signature in January.
November 11: Crazy offer
Victor Osimhen was a guest on John Obi Mikel's podcast and discussed the "crazy" offer made for him by Al-Hilal in the summer transfer window.
He said: "When the offer came from Saudi Arabia, a huge offer, it was hard to refuse. I spoke to Napoli and decided to stay.
"It was crazy, the more I said no, the more they increased the financial offer. It would have changed my life, they never gave up. But I said, no guys, I'm staying."
November 3: Barca bound?
Barcelona have included Victor Osimhen on their list of candidates to replace Robert Lewandowski.
The Nigerian forward is thought to be a premium option available to the LaLiga champions but they must first free up the funds to satisfy Napoli's valuation.
Lewandowski, 35, scored 23 times in the league last season but will eventually be phased out as Barca look for a suitable heir to the No9 shirt.

Victor Osimhen has suggested he would prefer a move to Major League Soccer, rather than head to the Saudi Pro League.
Speaking in a Twitch interview with Emiliano Viviano and former Italy forward Mario Balotelli, he said: "If I had the same conditions, I would go to MLS.
"They are trying to develop their [Saudi Pro] League, which is good. [But] I am happy at Napoli."
October 20: De Laurentiis hint
Potential bidders for Victor Osimhen will now be on high alert after comments from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The 74-year-old said: "I have never been unhappy with Osimhen. But there are always two people in these things. I have remained the same, if his mood has changed I can't do anything about it.
"If after a handshake things change, it's disappointing but we take note of it and then life goes on. We have excellent relations with him, his contract expires in 2025, so there is time. Don't forget that I sold Kalidou Koulibaly in his last year."
