Richarlison to star against the Swiss

Bet 1: Back Brazil to win to nil

It took them a while to get going against Serbia but Brazil's class shone through as they recorded a convincing 2-0 win on Thursday.

Tite's starting line-up looked frightening on paper and his stars eventually aligned to produce some thrilling attacking football.

Switzerland are unlikely to go toe-to-toe with the Selecao and while their qualifying return of 15 goals in eight games was decent, they looked stodgy in attack in their opening 1-0 win over Cameroon.

While these two drew 1-1 in the group stages of the last World Cup, Brazil look a better side this time around and should grab another win to zero.

Bet 2: Back Richarlison to score anytime in the match

Richarlison was the hero for Brazil against Serbia, scoring twice, with the second an early contender for goal of the tournament.

The 25-year-old's form for first Everton and now Tottenham has divided opinion but his numbers for Brazil are sensational, with that brace taking him to nine goals in his last seven international matches.

Richarlison is Brazil's undoubted number nine and it would be no surprise to see him show up well again at Stadium 974.

Bet 3: Back Manuel Akanji to receive a card in the match

Richarlison's form may see him come in for some rough treatment from the Swiss central defenders and both Manuel Akanji and Nico Elvedi picked up yellow cards against Cameroon.

The former has proved a handy summer acquisition for Manchester City and that card on Thursday was only his third of the season for either club or country.

However, his two at club level have come against Liverpool and former side Borussia Dortmund, both of whom like to stretch the game.

The pace in a Brazil side featuring the likes of Richarlison and Vinicius Junior could prove problematic and he may again receive a caution.

Uruguay to frustrate Portugal

Bet 1: Back Uruguay to win

Ruben Neves' Portugal are expected to find the going tougher against Uruguay

Uruguay may have drawn 0-0 against South Korea but were the better side and could afford to feel hard done by after hitting the crossbar through both Diego Godin and Federico Valverde.

Opponents Portugal were both lucky and lacklustre in their 3-2 win over Ghana but know a victory will take them into the last 16.

La Celeste will seek to frustrate an occasionally combustible Selecao side and their prowess from set-pieces may see them through.

Bet 2: Back correct score for the first half will be 0-0

Both teams found themselves tied up at 0-0 at the break on Thursday and it might be similarly tight in Lusail.

It would be a surprise to see Uruguay go out on the attack earlier, while Portugal's inability to break down a low block has been an issue throughout Santos' time in charge.

A cagey opening 45 minutes feels inevitable so there is plenty of sense in backing a stalemate at the break.

Bet 3: Back Ruben Neves to receive a card in the match

Wolves captain Ruben Neves looks like the man who will anchor the Selecao's engine room ahead of William Carvalho and Joao Palhinha but is a regular recipient of yellow cards.

Neves avoided a caution against Ghana but arrived in Qatar having already received six yellows in the Premier League and will be at the heart of the midfield battle against Valverde and Rodrigo Bentancur.

A yellow card might prove to be a necessary evil for the 25-year-old.
