Fulham's time in the Premier League could come to an end tonight against Burnley

Fulham's bid to beat the drop continues tonight as they battle to avoid joining Sheffield United and West Brom in the Championship next season.

The Baggies slipped through the Premier League trap door at the weekend, while Manchester City had to put their title celebrations on ice as Chelsea won 2-1 at the Etihad and closest rivals Manchester United picked up a 3-1 victory at Aston Villa.

Scott Parker's Cottagers host Burnley knowing defeat would confirm relegation to the second tier of English football.

We preview the match by turning the spotlight on Cottagers midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who faces an uncertain future as he prepares to return to parent club Chelsea at the end of the campaign.

Away from the action on the pitch, we also round up the latest golf news from around the world as On The Tee returns.

Fulham vs Burnley (8pm, Sky Sports)

After pulling level on points with Brighton with 10 games of the season remaining, five defeats in six games have now left Parker’s side on the brink of the drop.

The Cottagers are nine points behind 17th-placed Burnley with four games to play, meaning they simply cannot afford to drop points against tonight's opponents if their hopes of an unlikely escape are to continue.

Chelsea ace Loftus-Cheek is one of seven loanees in Parker’s squad and will soon head back to Stamford Bridge not knowing where he will be playing his football next season.

Now 25, we consider what is next for the England international, who has failed to kick on after being part of Gareth Southgate’s 2018 World Cup squad.
