Brentford will hope to maintain their impressive form when they host bottom-placed Southampton, while Wolves take on Liverpool with a lack of goals a real problem for both sides.

Brentford to make bright start against Saints

Bet 1: Half time/Full time result will be Brentford/Brentford

Southampton fell behind early again when they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Newcastle in midweek. It has become an all-too-familiar theme for their fans, who have seen the Saints concede first in 12 of their last 13 games against top-flight opposition.

Brentford are not in the habit of making slow starts, having scored the opening goal in seven of their last 10 matches.

This bet looks ideally suited to the Bees, who are yet to lose a Premier League game when scoring first, winning 16 and drawing only four when they have done so.

Bet 2: Over 9 corners for both teams combined

Brentford average 9.9 corners per game this season and Southampton's is only slightly inferior at 9.4, which suggests there could be in the order of nine or 10 overall when they meet on Saturday.

Saints boss Nathan Jones has brought in some height during the transfer window in a bid to cure his side's set-piece sickness.

They will be put to the test by a Bees outfit that thrive off corners and will be out to win plenty of them this weekend.

Bet 3: Ivan Toney to receive a card

Toney has become a card magnet this season and could be a candidate for another when he goes up against a rugged Southampton backline this weekend.

The Bees' top scorer wins so many aerial duels for his team that he is often the focal point for their free-kicks and corners or defensive clearances. This leads to him getting embroiled with opposing centre-backs in physical battles that can end up with disciplinary action.

Toney has received seven yellow cards in his last 15 games for Brentford and could be at risk of earning another on Saturday.

Molineux match might be a tough watch

Bet 1: Result will be a draw

Both of the recent meetings between these clubs this season were close affairs in the FA Cup with Wolves storming back from 2-1 down to almost win at Anfield, when a contentious offside decision denied them a famous victory.

Harvey Elliott's long-rage effort decided the replay at Molineux but Wolves applied some late pressure when Ruben Neves, Raul Jimenez and Matheus Cunha all went close to an equaliser.

Wolves eked out a 1-0 win in a game of few chances when last at home in the league against West Ham, but this game could stay deadlocked for the full 90 minutes.

Bet 2: Under 3 goals in 90 mins for both teams combined

Liverpool's midfield has been the area where most criticism has been focused this year, but the Reds' attack has been off colour too.

Mohamed Salah has not scored in his last four appearances — his joint-longest dry spell of the season — and the less said about Darwin Nunez the better.

Klopp's team have failed to score in three of their last seven Premier League away games and currently have struck fewer goals on the road than Fulham, Brentford and Leicester.

Wolves are the division's lowest scorers at home with just six successful efforts in 10 games, so this game looks set to be anything but a goal-fest.

Bet 3: Max Kilman to receive a card in the match

Centre-back Kilman has received four yellow cards in his last six games in all competitions — all of which have been since Julen Lopetegui took charge at Molineux.

This is in stark contrast to the Englishman's disciplinary record over the previous season and a half when he did not receive a card in 38 consecutive appearances for Wolves.

Kilman looks like a solid candidate to go in the book on Saturday when the likes of Cody Gakpo, Salah and Nunez will be in opposition.
