The curtain falls on Royal Ascot today and day five is headlined by the Platinum Jubilee Stakes — the last of the Group 1 races at the meeting.

It could well prove to be another Australian rout as Home Affairs looks the one to beat for Chris Waller and James McDonald.

They go once more from 2.30pm until 6.10pm on the final day and we are on hand to preview all seven races.

2.30pm — Chesham Stakes (Listed, 7f)

Aidan O'Brien looks to win this for a fifth time in seven years and the Irishman has really hit stride as the week has worn on.

Alfred Munnings is a major contender but the Newbury win from DARK THIRTY on debut was quite smart and he has been on top form since.

Verdict: Alfred Munnings is feared but Dark Thirty could spring a surprise in the opener.

3.05pm — Jersey Stakes (Group 3, 7f)

Though we associate Henry de Bromhead with the likes of Cheltenham and Aintree, the Irish handler can ready one on the flat too.

STAR GIRLS AALMAL was an eye-catching fourth in a red-hot Irish 1000 Guineas last month and is appealing after dropping in class.

Elsewhere, Monaadah has won all three starts and could be up to this task.

Verdict: Henry de Bromhead can Star at Royal Ascot with his smart filly.

3.40pm — Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2, 1m4f)

Hurricane Lane has won six times from eight races

Winner of three Group 1s last season, including the Irish Derby and the St Leger, HURRICANE LANE's only defeats were placed efforts in the Epsom Derby and the Arc.

We have not seen him since Longchamp in the autumn but he won first time out last season and Charlie Appleby's son of Frankel should be very hard to topple here.

Verdict: Hurricane Lane can blow his rivals off course.

4.20pm — Platinum Jubilee Stakes (Group 1, 6f)

The final Group 1 of the meeting and Aussie trainer Chris Waller looks to complete a memorable King's Stand-Platinum Jubilee double.

He resisted the urge to run Tuesday's winner Nature Strip again, most likely as he has the ultra-impressive HOME AFFAIRS to go to war with and it could easily be a similar outcome.

Campanelle and Sacred have form at the meeting and are each-way players.

Verdict: The Aussie sprinters look to be ahead of the pack and Home Affairs can dominate on British soil.

5pm — Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap, 6f)

James McDonald could be buzzing if he has won the preceding Group 1 and he has got a lively outsider in Tim Easterby's Lampang here.

However, Marco Botti's hat-trick seeking SILVER SAMURAI could still be ahead of the handicapper and looks a really solid each-way proposition.

Verdict: Silver Samurai may well continue his progress.

5.35pm — Golden Gates Stakes (Handicap, 1m2f)

Falling Shadow easily won a maiden at Newbury five weeks ago and could have plenty to say on handicap debut for Godolphin and Charlie Appleby.

CHAIRMAN has a little bit more experience under his belt however and defied an opening mark of 83 for Martyn Meade last month.

The pair are tough to split.

Verdict: Chairman is on the up but Falling Shadow has lots of untapped potential.

6.10pm — Queen Alexandra Stakes (Conditions Race, 2m5½f)

The last race of the meeting and also the longest of the week.

Trueshan will surely only run if there is rain, so that leaves the likes of Wordsworth and Falcon Eight possibly fronting the betting — and both have questions against them.

NATE THE GREAT was fourth in this in 2020 and Andrew Balding's charge is a more mature performer now, so should be able to see the marathon trip out.

Verdict: Nate The Great may cap an impressive week for rider Danny Tudhope.
