There's an exciting day of racing ahead at Doncaster
There's an exciting day of racing ahead at Doncaster

Frankie Dettori makes his Racing League debut on Thursday as the competition heads to Doncaster for an evening card at Town Moor.

Along with Dettori, James Doyle is also another jockey to look out for in the 12-team league.

And we have picked out five five horses to follow across the meeting, which runs from 5.42pm to 8.25pm.

5.42pm - William Hill Build Your Odds Racing League R7 (5f)

All three of BALLINTOY HARBOUR's wins so far have come over this 5f trip, including last time out when she scored at Newmarket.

She stayed on strongly at the finish in that and the handicapper has put the filly up 6lb for her latest win.

She could be worth much more than that rise as the horse directly behind her at Newmarket has prevailed twice since.

LiveScore Selection: Ballintoy Harbour

6.13pm - William Hill Extra Place Races Racing League R8 (6f)

A wind op back in June looks to have really helped IVATHEENGINE as he returned to action on the AW at Newcastle with a much better performance just seven days ago on the inaugural night of the Racing League.

He was less than a length behind the winner in second place. Off just a 2lb higher mark than his latest run, and from a rating far lower than his peak, the four-year-old could be ready to score again.

This 6f trip is his most favourable distance so expect to see him at his best again.

LiveScore Selection: Ivatheengine

6.48pm - William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Racing League R9 (7f)

As a two-time winner in France, DILAWARA is a really interesting runner in this 7f handicap contest.

Before she switched to Joseph O'Brien's yard in Ireland, the four-year-old was running at Listed level.

The daughter of Dream Ahead finished midfield at the Curragh on her opening run in Ireland. She is capable of much more than that and is very much exposed this side of the Channel.

LiveScore Selection: Dilawara

7.20pm William Hill Play Responsibly Racing League R10 (1m)

BAKE could not have been any more impressive when breaking his maiden at the third attempt on his latest outing at Yarmouth (7f).

He blew the field away by over nine lengths in that maiden contest as he was in a different league to his rivals.

This is going to be much more difficult for the three-year-old as the handicapper has taken note of that margin of victory.

He opens up with a mark of 82 but is open to improvement so he can follow up on his handicap debut.

LiveScore Selection: Bake

7.53pm - William Hill Pick Your Places Racing League R11 (1m2f)

With defeat coming in all eight of his races to date, RUSSIAN VIRTUE is still a maiden.

David Menuisier's runner has shown enough in those appearances to suggest his first success is not far away.

He has finished second and third off this mark of 77, the former coming over this distance at Sandown.

With a little luck going his way this time, he can record that first victory on the track.

LiveScore Selection: Russian Virtue
