LiveScore Racing Preview: Newmarket, September 24, 2021

It's the second day of the Cambridgeshire Meeting at Newmarket, where there are three Group races, including the Group Two Joel Stakes.

The action begins at 1.15pm and runs through to 4.40pm. Here are five horses to follow on the card.

1.15pm - Try Our New Super Boosts At Unibet British EBF Maiden Stakes (7f)

This race is a good chance for AL JADDAF to get off the mark at the third attempt. 

He has shown promise on both of his two appearances so far, particularly last time out at Kempton, where he finished second of 10 runners behind a smart colt from John & Thady Gosden's yard.

The son of Shamardal sets the standard here in this maiden contest and could go on to have a smart future.

1.50pm - Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day EBF Rosemary Stakes (1m - Listed)

Dubai Love and Wedding Dance are both returning to action after lengthy lay-offs here and might just need this run. 

There will be no doubts about the fitness of FOORAAT, who has been running consistently well recently.

Roger Varian's runner opened his career with back-to-back victories and then has been performing well in Listed races and above. She was only a head behind the winner last time at York (1m2½f). A repeat of that showing will see her go close again.

2.25pm - Unibet Princess Royal Stakes (1m4f - Group 3)

A career-best performance was produced by ALBAFLORA when she finished behind Snowfall in the Group One Yorkshire Oaks at York. She finished ahead of the likes of Wonderful Tonight and Loving Dream in that race over this distance of 1m4f.

This drop-down to Group Three level can help Ralph Beckett's filly get back to winning ways. She has proved this season that she belongs at the highest level so she should have too much class for her rivals on this occasion.

3.00pm Unibet Rockfel Stakes (7f - Group 2)

MAJESTIC GLORY has really got it together now on the track and comes into the Group Two Rockfel Stakes bidding to complete a hat-trick of wins. Her latest success came in a Group Three event at Newmarket. She found traffic in that race but ran on strongly to prevail by a length.

The Frankel filly has more experience than many of her rivals in this race, and that will count for a lot. She is also open to more improvement, so she is the one to beat in what should be a fascinating race to watch.

3.35pm - Unibet "You're On" Joel Stakes (1m - Group 2)

Godolphin duo MASTER OF THE SEAS AND Benbatl are the standout runners in the feature race on this card. The former came very close to a second C&D victory earlier this season when he came home runner up in the 2000 Guineas. Poetic Flare, who finished a short head in front of him has gone on to have an excellent season.

Charlie Appleby's runner can prove that the field for this year's 2000 Guineas was very strong with a victory here on his return to action.
