Top meets bottom in Group A in the Champions League on Wednesday when Napoli welcome Rangers to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

While the club from Naples have been flying in Europe's premier club competition, winning all four of their matches and having already booked their place in the last 16, Rangers are yet to pick up a point and have scored only once in the group.

The Scottish Premiership club are at risk of missing out on third spot and a place in the Europa League knockout stage, whereas Napoli could confirm themselves as group winners if they prevail and Liverpool fail to beat Ajax.

Napoli's squad depth has been impressive this season but they will be missing key defender Amir Rrahmani once again.

Midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, meanwhile, is a doubt and is likely to be replaced by Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele.

Visitors Rangers are set to be without Ianis Hagi, Filip Helander, Connor Goldson, Ryan Jack, John Souttar and Tom Lawrence.

Stats

Napoli have been sensational going forwards in this season's Champions League, averaging 4.25 goals per game in Group A.

They have also managed to maintain their blistering start to the Serie A season, winning nine and drawing two of their first 11 matches and scoring 26 times in the process.

Rangers were thumped 7-1 by Liverpool on matchday four of the Champions League, taking their goals conceded tally to 16 in Group A.

Napoli have scored at least three goals in five of their last six games in all competitions.

Prediction

Napoli and Rangers could have hardly had more contrasting Champions League campaigns this season and the gulf in class between the sides is likely to show when they clash in Italy.

Napoli have torn up Group A, beating Liverpool 4-1, Rangers 3-0 and Ajax 6-1 away and 4-2 at home.

Alongside that, they have managed to stay top of Serie A and they look unstoppable right now, especially going forwards.

Luciano Spalletti has been able to rotate his attacking options this season and still see his side score goals with Giacomo Raspadori having dropped to the bench against Roma on Sunday, only for his replacement Victor Osimhen to mark his return to the starting lineup with the winning goal.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Hirving Lozano and Matteo Politano, meanwhile, have all been superb on the flanks this term and it is hard to envisage anything other than a high-scoring win for Napoli.

They have netted 18 times in their last five games alone and still have incentive heading into this fixture with top spot not yet secured, so they should play on the front foot again.

With that in mind, they could be worth backing at -2 goals on the handicap at 29/20 with LiveScore Bet. The bet wins if Napoli win by three or more goals.

Raspadori has been particularly prolific in this year's Champions League with four goals in three matches and, even if he does not start this fixture, he could represent value at 21/20 with LiveScore Bet to score at any time.
