Wolverhampton is our focus for Monday's racing action with an eight-race card underway at 4pm

Monday's evening meeting in the UK comes from Wolverhampton, with the Dunstall Park circuit hosting an eight-race card to kick-start a new week as December beckons.

The action begins at 4pm and goes through until 7.30pm with the going 'standard' on the Tapeta track.

We have selected five five horses for you to follow.

4pm - Betway Casino Handicap (1m6f)

Though he hadn't shown a lot in four starts previously for Owen Burrows, ALJARYAAL made an impressive stable bow for Joseph Parr over 1m4f at this track earlier in the month.

He was prominent turning for home but the eventual second kicked off the bend and pinched a handy lead, making it an impressive finish from this 3YO gelding to wear him down and win going away.

He has gone up 3lb and now gets another quarter-of-a-mile over which to demonstrate his stamina.

LiveScore selection: Aljaryaal

5pm - Betway Handicap (5f)

Kodiac gelding NIGHT ON EARTH was a three-time turf winner for previous trainers and he almost made the perfect start for Mick Appleby over this C&D at the start of the month, flying home from an unlikely position to be denied a neck on the line.

He has since gone in at Newcastle over the straight 5f and, raised 3lb, looks to have been found an excellent opportunity to make it successive all-weather wins.

LiveScore selection: Knight On Earth

5.30pm - Read Katie Walsh On Betway Insider Handicap (1m1½f)

Fitwood Star is the one that immediately takes the eye as he would be completing a remarkable all-weather four-timer for Roger Teal if he can score here — his previous wins coming in November 2018, and October/November 2020.

He is racing from a 4lb higher mark back from his latest absence and has to be respected.

ELIXSOFT was fourth in a race won by Hooflepuff over C&D earlier in the month and, now 4lb better off, Gemma Tutty's mount is a viable option, especially if this is run at less of a dawdle early on.

LiveScore selection: Elixsoft

6pm - Play Coral Racing-Super-Series For Free EBF Fillies' Handicap (1m½f)

The lightly-raced A'shaari is very much one to keep tabs on first run since Royal Ascot in June.

Charlie Appleby's Dubawi filly could be a key player if taking to this surface at the first time of asking.

All six have a chance in an open race and maybe SERANADING will notch another win.

She is 3-8 on artificial surfaces, winning most recently at Newcastle over a mile in October and gone close again there since off this mark.

LiveScore selection: Serenading

7pm - MansionBet Proud Partners Of AWC Handicap Division 1 (7f)

DESERT DREAM won here last December under Cieren Fallon from a 5lb higher mark and returns now having run a pleasing fourth of 12 at Catterick last month over 6f on soft ground.

Neither conditions nor that shorter trip would have been optimal and, with Fallon back on board now, Seb Spencer's son of Oasis Dream is handicapped to have a big say in this open contest.

LiveScore selection: Desert Dream
