Our full attention will be on Southwell's eight-race card on Tuesday evening

It is a big day for Southwell on Tuesday as they race for the first time on the brand new Tapeta all-weather surface.

The old Fibresand has been taken away and a new era of racing begins at the Nottinghamshire venue with an eight-race evening card from 4pm until 7.30pm.

And we have selected five to follow on a big day for everyone connected to the racecourse.

4pm - Betway Handicap (1m4f)

There is surely a race to be won with Gleneaglet and he's off the same mark as when second last time at Wolverhampton over this trip.

But TOROMONA has run with credit in maiden/novice company on last two runs at Wolverhampton and Newcastle.

Charlie Appleby steps him up in trip now for this handicap bow off what could be a workable opening mark of 75. The Godolphin gelding should have his say.

LiveScore selection: Toromona

4.30pm - BetYourWay At Betway Handicap (5f)

ROSE HIP's Lingfield win 17 days ago looked rather unlikely as the mare was out the back of the field with it all to do turning for home.

But she got up a head of steam and scythed her way through runners before edging out runner-up Lady Ava in a tight finish.

Mollie Phillips keeps the ride after that barnstorming finish and a 4lb rise is manageable.

LiveScore selection: Rose Hip

5.30pm - Watch Racing Free Online At Coral Winter Oaks Trial Fillies' Handicap (1m3f)

Mark Johnston looks to have a leading fancy with Alba Rose at Southwell

Viola was not disgraced in a Listed contest at Lingfield over 1m5f in October and has done her winning at 1m4f in the past so should have a say.

But ALBA ROSE is likely to improve now upped in trip for trainer Mark Johnston.

The Muhaarar filly is a half-sister to the stable's smart stayers Subjectivist and Sir Ron Priestley and was doing her best work late on when second over 1m2f at Lingfield a week ago.

LiveScore selection: Alba Rose

6.30pm - Coral Proud To Support British Racing EBF Novice Stakes Division 1 (7f)

Some regally-bred newcomers on show here but none more eye-catching than LOVE MYSTERY for King Power and Andrew Balding.

The Frankel colt cost a chunky 300,000gns as a yearling and her dam is a sister to the smart Double Or Bubble.

David Probert's mount makes most appeal on paper, though the likes of Kodiac Blue and Government are potential threats.

LiveScore selection: Love Mystery

7.30pm - Play 4 To Win At Betway Handicap (6f)

Newcastle winner Redzone has his chance again despite a 5lb penalty for that Gosforth Park success a week ago but this is a career-high mark and maybe WINNETKA is a better option.

He is 0-12 on the all-weather but has placed six times and he just didn't last home over 7f at Lingfield last time.

He had earlier won on the grass at Leicester over this trip in September and he should go well again from an unchanged mark.

LiveScore selection: Winnetka
