We are off to Newcastle on Tuesday afternoon for a meeting over the jumps.
They get underway at 12.50pm with an all-weather newcomers bumper before six races on 'good to soft' ground on the turf course, with the action concluding at 3.55pm.
And we have picked five horses for you to follow at Gosforth Park.
1.25pm - Sky Sports Racing Virgin 535 Novices' Handicap Hurdle (2m)
Iain Jardine's filly OOT MA WAY surely has decent prospects off an opening mark of 100 here.
A dual all-weather winner on the Flat, she produced an improved showing on third hurdles start at Musselburgh (1m7½f, good to soft) on New Year's Day when second to an impressive all-the-way winner in Ruth Jefferson's Ince Prince (rated 120 and following up an easy Catterick win in December).
There should be more in the offing from Oot Ma Way now sent handicapping.
LiveScore selection: Oot Ma Way
1.55pm - Equine Products UK Handicap Chase (2m)
The aptly-named GALLIC GEORDIE arrives on Tyneside having won his last three starts over fences for Sam Drinkwater.
He twice scored at Lingfield over this trip before defying a 7lb rise to win at Newbury (2m½f, soft) over Christmas. He cruised into contention there and settled the matter with a good change of pace when called upon.
The handicapper poses a question with a 9lb rise but he might well be equal to it.
LiveScore selection: Gallic Geordie
2.55pm - Sky Sports Racing Virgin 535 Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (2m7f)
COME ON TEDDY made a winning start over fences at Uttoxeter (2m4f, soft) in early December for trainer Tom George, gamely holding on to score in a race that has worked quite well.
Since then he has been to Cheltenham on New Year's Day for the Grade 2 Dipper, where he was well held in fifth in a race dominated by smart prospect L'homme Presse for the Venetia Williams team.
His sights are being recalibrated now to a lower level and Johnny Burke's mount may have enough about him to take care of the likes of Omar Maretti and Uncle Alistair.
LiveScore selection: Come On Teddy
3.25pm - Border Minstrel Pub Handicap Hurdle (2m7½f)
Skipthescales (second) and KAIZER (fifth) met at Kelso last month and the latter might be capable of reversing the form and going close here.
Ewan Whillans' charge is typically ridden prominently but he was left to make the running at the Scottish venue and it might not have aided him in first-time cheekpieces.
He has been eased 3lb for that run and is now dangerously well-handicapped on his best form.
A few of these like to go forward and Craig Nicol's mount might benefit from tracking the pace going back up in trip.
LiveScore selection: Kaizer
3.55pm - Tyne Mares' Novices' Hurdle (2m)
Harry Fry's mare LADY ADARE won her bumper on debut here back in March and she impressed on hurdles bow at Uttoxeter (2m, good to soft) almost eight months later when easily coming clear to win from Get A Tonic - winner of both starts since - with next-time-out scorers Tweed Skirt and Holly in fourth and fifth.
She carries a penalty but, having undergone a wind op in her short break, still rates as the likeliest winner in the Newcastle finale.
LiveScore selection: Lady Adare
