Monday afternoon sees a National Hunt card emanating from Ludlow, the Shropshire venue where trainer Nicky Henderson boasts a 25 per-cent strike-rate across the last five seasons.

They race on Monday afternoon from 12.45pm-3.45pm, with conditions forecast to be 'Soft-good to soft in places' and we've picked out five to follow on the card.

LiveScore Five to Follow at Ludlow on Monday

12.45pm - Vobe Electrics Juvenile Hurdle (2m)

The filly ANGELS LANDING shaped well enough in her first two outings over hurdles - including over C&D - before finding a Listed Mares race at Aintree too much.

The rise in class as well as the longer trip there would have counted against her and this return to a more speed-centric track should suit.

She just about earns the call over Newbury runner-up Dr T J Eckleburg for the Olly Murphy team. If he builds on that initial hurdles form he'll go close.

LiveScore selection: Angels Landing

1.15pm - Plyvine Caterers Handicap Chase (3m1½f)

He's an 11-year-old now but BOBO MAC has shaped with promise this season, including when second here over track and trip in December behind Minella Encore.

He didn't get far (ninth) since at Haydock but he'd have done well to lay a blow on Blaklion that afternoon in any case. This is the scene of his sole previous chasing success and he appears on a mark from which he could win.

Demachine ran well in the Ladbrokes Trophy on season comeback (finished distance fifth after moving well) and should find this sharper test in less competitive company to his liking.

LiveScore selection: Bobo Mac

1.45 - Ludlow Brewery Handicap Hurdle (3m)

A 2m5f winner here last March, ONE FOR YOU also won his next start over 2m7f at Market Rasen and both runs this season have had merit.

He was third in a decent Newbury handicap (3m, good) on his November comeback and was shaping well over the same C&D at the end of that month before a mid-race mistake put him off his game.

Dropped 2lb by the assessor and eased in grade, this track is a good spot for him to rebuild.

LiveScore selection: One For You

2.45pm - Luke Watson Memorial 'National Hunt' Maiden Hurdle Division 2 (2m5f)

It's been a good start to 2022 for trainer Henry Daly, with Hillcrest scoring at Cheltenham on New Year's Day and, in the same silks of the late Trevor Hemmings, BRIDGE NORTH is fancied to bag the second division of this maiden hurdle.

He has shaped well in all three starts thus far and was second over C&D just before Christmas in a female riders' handicap hurdle. That form sets the standard and, back in maiden company, he can oblige.

LiveScore selection: Bridge North

3.15pm - Behind Bars Novices' Handicap Chase (2m4f)

Java Point is improving with every trip

JAVA POINT improved with his Doncaster second last month over 2m3f, making Dr Sanderson work hard to edge the verdict.

That rival had tumbled a long way in the ratings and re-found his form on Town Moor, so Tom George's charge looks to hold every chance here despite the assessor bumping him up 4lb for finishing second-best.

LiveScore selection: Java Point
