LiveScore Racing Preview: Kempton, December 8, 2021

Kempton is one of five meetings taking place in the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. 

There is an eight-race card on the all-weather surface and the action runs from 4pm until 7.30pm. 

We have picked out five horses for you to follow. 

4pm - Unibet Horserace Betting Operator Of The Year EBF Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes (7f) 

BELACQUA is the only winner in this fillies' novice, which means she will need to carry a penalty.

George Boughey's filly showed very few signs of inexperience in that race at Lingfield (7f) back in August. 

She finished the race strongly to get up by just under a length. There are some well-bred fillies in this field but many of them will need the run. 

Boughey's runner can build upon her debut success and maintain her 100% record.

4.30pm - Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Nursery Handicap (7f) 

Charlie Appleby has two runners in this nursery, both of which will run in the Godolphin silks. 

Tangled Words is a C&D winner but the preference should go to MYTHICAL DANCER who is set for his first start since being gelded.

The son of Shamardal prevailed on his debut at Thirsk (7f) earlier this season. 

He is now switching to the AW surface, where he has an excellent chance of adding a second success to his tally.

5pm - Try Our New Super Boosts At Unibet Novice Stakes (1m) 

Hugo Palmer's ASEAN LEGEND has had a couple of attempts on the track so far and has come close to a first win on both occasions. 

He was just a neck behind the winner on his debut, while more recently he finished second of 10 runners at Wolverhampton (1m1½f). 

The experience the Australia colt will have picked up a lot from those runs, which will help him in this novice affair. 

He looks to be the one they all have to beat.

5.30pm - Try Our New Super Boosts At Unibet Novice Stakes (1m) 

WESTERN WRITER is set for his second career start in this novice contest over 1m. 

Although he could only finish sixth of 10 on his debut at Chelmsford (1m) last month, he was just two lengths behind the winner. 

Charlie Appleby's runner was slowly away on his debut, which did not help his chances. 

This looks an easier assignment and he can break his maiden tag with a better start.

7pm - Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Handicap (7f) 

MAY NIGHT is chasing a hat-trick of wins following successes over this C&D and at Kempton (7f). 

He has gone up 5lb since that last win but it may not be enough to stop him. 

This horse tends to win by a small margin, which means he does not climb the ratings too much. 

His record on the AW reads four wins from six starts and he can improve that strike-rate even further in this 7f contest.
