Sunday's seven-race card at Lingfield holds our focus and there are some big prizes on offer

It is the third and final day of the Winter Million at Lingfield and there remains some big prize money on offer across this seven-race card.

Conditions at Lingfield continue to be testing, with the official going described as 'Heavy'.

Here are our five horses to follow.

1.20pm - Winter Million Novices' Hurdle (2m7f)

BALLYGRIFINCOTTAGE was a three-time winner in point-to-points before moving to Dan Skelton's yard back in December. He made a respectable start to racing under Rules, as he finished third of six in a Grade Two event at Cheltenham (3m) last month.

This is a much easier assignment for the novice hurdler and he looks to be the one they all have to beat based on his performance at Cheltenham.

LiveScore Selection: Ballygrifincottage

1.50pm - Cazoo Novices' Chase (2m)

It has been a very successful start to life over fences for WAR LORD. Colin Tizzard's runner won his opening two chase appearances, with victories coming at Newton Abbot (2m½f) and Carlisle (2m).

He then finished second in the Grade One Henry VIII Novices' Chase and although he was a long way behind Edwardstone at Sandown, coming home runner-up in a Grade One contest will have delighted his connections.

This drop back down in class should ensure he adds another success to his name in his novice chase campaign.

LiveScore Selection: War Lord

2.25pm - Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Hurdle (2m3½f)

There are just three runners for this class two hurdle contest but it looks a very interesting race. If Goshen could find his old form, he would take some beating, but his latest performances have been very disappointing.

Preference goes to BREWIN'UPASTORM who came down at the last hurdle in the Grade Two Relkeel Hurdle when in contention.

Olly Murphy's runner should be forgiven for that mistake at Cheltenham. He looked impressive at Aintree earlier this season on his first run back since having a wind-op and he can bounce back here.

LiveScore Selection: Brewin'upastorm

3.00pm - Fleur De Lys Chase (2m6f)

Bristol De Mai looks the class horse in the field
Bristol De Mai looks the class horse in the field

The feature race of the day has attracted a strong field, including three-time Betfair Chase winner BRISTOL DE MAI. The 11-year-old looked like he needed the run at Haydock when he was pulled up at the penultimate fence back in November.

Nigel Twiston-Davies' runner has contested the Gold Cup, Grand National and other big races over the last few years. If he is anywhere near his best in this race, he should have too much class for his rivals.

LiveScore Selection: Bristol De Mai

3.35pm - racehorselotto.com Surrey National Handicap Chase (3m5f)

Stamina is really going to be tested in the Surrey National over this 3m5f trip on heavy ground. GO WHATEVER comes into this race on the back of a success in the Sussex National at Plumpton.

He won that contest by seven lengths and he was staying on strongly at the finish.

The handicapper has put Chris Gordon's runner up 7lb, but he remains open to improvement over fences. A second big stayers win can come for the eight-year-old in conditions which will suit hm.
