Leicestershire vs Yorkshire predictions: Visiting openers pose threat to Foxes

Leicestershire got their first win of the 2023 Vitality Blast campaign, at the sixth attempt, at Durham on Sunday but they may struggle to follow up against an in-form Yorkshire side.

England T20 opener Dawid Malan has powered Yorkshire to three straight victories in the North Group, which includes an impressive 15-run win over Roses rivals Lancashire at Headingley.

Yorkshire suffered defeats on their Blast trips to Leicestershire in 2020, 2021 and 2022 but confidence should be high when Shan Masood's men arrive at Grace Road on Tuesday.

Leicestershire have welcomed back Naveen-ul-Haq from the Indian Premier League and the Afghan bowler took two wickets in Sunday's win over Durham.

Nick Welch and Lewis Hill shared a first-wicket stand of 56 last time out for the Foxes so opener Sol Budinger is likely to miss out again.   

With Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Harry Brook on England Test duty, Yorkshire could name the same team who beat Derbyshire on Sunday.

Leicestershire's openers made a strong start to Sunday's successful run-chase against Durham but they had lost their previous five T20 matches this season and their batting unit remains hard to trust.
