Jumps racing returns to Kempton Park on Sunday for a brand new season and they've got a seven-race card to enjoy at the Sunbury venue.

The highlights will be a pair of Listed contests over hurdles, with racing at Kempton from 13.00-16.25 and conditions set to be 'Good-good to firm in places'.

We've selected five to follow on the afternoon.

1pm - Jockey Club Supporting Racing Staff Week Juvenile Hurdle (2m)

The Nicky Henderson-trained IMPULSIVE ONE has already won back-to-back hurdles contest at Plumpton and Huntingdon by a combined tally of 22 lengths and has looked well above average in how he's gone about his work.

The ex-Flat performer is carrying a double penalty but can complete his hat-trick under Daryl Jacob in a race that sets up well.

Knight Salute carries a penalty of his own for winning at Sedgefield and the newcomers Painless Potter and Rhebus Road will have to hit the ground running to lower the colours of the Seven Barrows inmate.

LiveScore Selection: Impulsive One

1.30pm - Racing Welfare For The Racing Community Novices' Handicap Chase (2m2f)

Light N Strike should make up into a chaser for Emma Lavelle but is debuting in this sphere here, while Ballinsker couldn't justify market support at Ffos Las in June and has again run poorly recently at Newton Abbot.

NAIZAGAI meanwhile looks destined to be a better chaser than he was a hurdler on the evidence of this month's Sedgefield second on debut in this code. As the lone 4YO in this field he get an allowance and Fergal O'Brien's charge can make it count.

2.05pm - Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Novices' Hurdle (Listed, 2m)

The opening Listed contest on the card and a field of four has been declared. They all have winning hurdles form, Balko Saint in France and Hammersmith in Ireland, but the pair to focus on may be the previous winners on British soil, Tulin and COBBLERS DREAM

The former, trained by Paul Nicholls, won a pair of minor contests at Taunton in the spring before misfiring at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good) in May. He needs to bounce back and potentially improve again to defy Ben Case's representative.

Cobblers Dream won his only bumper in Ireland back in April and made no mistake at Warwick (2m, good) on hurdles introduction for these connections. He's got improvement to come and can add to his tally under Johnny Burke.

3.15pm - Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Hurdle (2m)

Silver Streak looking to win this race for third year running

Again only four runners for the second of the Listed races on the card but this is a quality affair. SILVER STREAK loves it here and has won this race the last two years. The grey also relieved Epatante of her Christmas Hurdle crown last December to grab a Grade 1 for his CV.

He faces a proper test however from the versatile Sceau Royal, with Alan King's dual Grade 2 Elite Hurdle winner often able to give his best after a layoff. He's twice been beaten over fences around here and Silver Streak's Kempton record sways the vote his way.

LiveScore Selection: Silver Streak

3.50pm - Natasha Savage, Thank You & Good Luck Handicap Chase (3m)

Mister Tickle has won his last three starts at Fontwell and Newton Abbot - all over 3m2f - and remains a threat up another 5lb but perhaps this relative speed test down to three-miles will ask a different question.

Victorious at Southwell (3m½f, good) in June on second chasing start, THE COMPOSEUR may well have followed up at Uttoxeter in July had he not come to grief. There's scope in him from this mark for the Jonjo O'Neill partnership.

LiveScore Selection: The Compuseur
