- Huddersfield have won their last three Championship fixtures
- Blackburn have failed to win in seven of their last eight away league games
- Recommended Bet: Huddersfield to win

Neil Warnock is weaving his magic at Huddersfield and the tenacious Terriers will be further hoping to enhance their Championship survival aspirations at home to playoff hopefuls Blackburn.

Warnock was appointed as Huddersfield manager in mid-February and found early life tough, but three successive wins over Millwall, Middlesbrough and Watford have seen his side move out of the relegation places.

There is still plenty of work to be done in their bid to beat the drop with just six games remaining, but they may fancy their chances at home to a Blackburn side in danger of falling out the play-off places.

Rovers limped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Norwich on Good Friday, which was the third reverse they have endured in four league outings.

Team news

Huddersfield remain without injured quintet Faustino Anjorin, Jaheim Headley, Yuta Nakayama, Kieran Phillips and Oliver Turton while Anthony Knockaert and Lee Nicholls are both doubts.

Given the Terriers’ upturn in form, Warnock may opt for the same XI that won at Watford last time out, although Ben Jackson, Brahima Diarra and Jordan Rhodes are available to freshen things up if required.

In contrast, Blackburn manager Jon Dahl Tomasson is likely to make some tactical tweaks as they bid to bounce back from their latest loss to Norwich.

Daniel Ayala, Samuel Barnes and Jack Vale remain sidelined while loanee Sorba Thomas is ineligible to face his parent club.

The stats

Jon Dahl Tomasson's Rovers have hit the buffers at just the wrong time, losing four of their last five games

Huddersfield have lost just one of their last six Championship matches, winning each of the previous three against top-six outfits Millwall and Middlesbrough, as well as at a Watford side that were once in play-off contention.

That ought to serve them well against sixth-placed Blackburn, who are showing signs of vulnerability following three defeats in their last four games.

Rovers have also been blighted by inconsistencies on their travels.

They have won only six of their 20 away games and have been beaten on 11 occasions.

Huddersfield have come through two thrillers in their last two matches.

Having trailed 1-0 at home to high-flying Middlesbrough, the Terriers turned on the style to win 4-2, while they also came from a goal down to prevail 3-2 at Watford just three days ago.

That bodes well for goal backers at the John Smith's Stadium as Blackburn have seen both teams score in five of their last six away games.

Prediction

Both Huddersfield and Blackburn are desperate for points, albeit for very different reasons.

The Terriers have won three games in a row to ease their relegation fears but they are only one point above the drop zone, while Rovers remain in the sixth and final playoff spot, although three losses in four outings have piled on the pressure.

Huddersfield should have little to fear given their recent winning run includes victories over Middlesbrough and Millwall, two other sides in the play-off places, whereas Rovers are not currently performing like a side with top-six ambitions.

Rovers were beaten 2-0 at home by Norwich on Friday and their last two away trips have seen them lose 3-2 at Stoke and 1-0 at Birmingham.

That means Blackburn have won just twice in their last 11 Championship away games and more misery could follow against Warnock’s Terriers who, for all their struggles, have been beaten in only one of their last six home outings.
