Tottenham face an anxious wait over a fresh injury scare ahead of Sunday’s trip to Everton.
Spurs played out a first 0-0 draw in 125 games as they claimed a point at Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The north London side made the trip to France as they looked to bounce back from Sunday’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
Goals from Morgan Rogers and Emiliano Buendia cancelled out Rodrigo Bentancur’s early opener to extend Spurs’ dire home run to three wins from their last 18 in the league in front of their fans.
Vicario saves Spurs in Monaco
However, Spurs were on the backfoot for much of the game at the Stade Louis II as they conceded 23 shots.
Under pressure shotstopper Guglielmo Vicario put in a player of the match performance in France with the Italian on hand to make eight saves in a fine showing between the sticks.
The draw, though, came at a cost as Wilson Odobert was forced off in the 70th minute having needed treatment on what appeared to be his rib area before he was replaced by Brennan Johnson.
Any spell on the sidelines would come as a blow for Spurs and Odobert, who has started the last four matches for Thomas Frank’s side.
Spurs waiting on injured winger
And when asked for an update on Odobert after Wednesday’s stalemate, Spurs boss Frank said: “Actually, I don't know.
“But of course we subbed him off because there was some pain. But I don't know the consequences of it.”
Spurs are already in the midst of an injury crisis, and travelled to Monaco with no fewer than 10 first team players absent.
Key men missing for Frank
Captain Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies all missed the Champions League clash owing to respective injuries picked up while on international duty.
The absence of the latter pair saw Archie Gray deputise at left-back as Djed Spence started on the bench.
Radu Dragusin, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are all long-term injury concerns, while Dominic Solanke is also presently sidelined.
Mathys Tel missed the game in midweek as he is cup-tied but is an option to deputise for compatriot Odobert on the left flank at Everton this weekend. Johnson and deadline day arrival Randal Kolo-Muani may also be called upon on Merseyside on Sunday.
Spurs make their first trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on a run of one win in their last five in all competitions, though that sole victory did come on the road at Leeds prior to the international break.
