  • Crystal Palace have earned just one point from their last three league games

  • Brentford have won three of their last four matches

  • Recommended bet: Crystal Palace to win

Crystal Palace take on Brentford at Selhurst Park on Saturday when they will be eager to get back to winning ways in the Premier League having gone three games without victory since their 18-game unbeaten run came to an end at Everton.

The Bees, meanwhile, have won three of their last four league games, including a 3-2 triumph over champions Liverpool last weekend.

Team news

It is hoped Crystal Palace will be able to call on reliable centre-back Chris Richards who has been struggling with a minor calf problem but should the US international not be fit to play, Jaydee Canvot could start.

The Eagles will be without Cheick Doucoure who has a knee issue, as does Chadi Riad, while Caleb Kporha remains sidelined with a back problem.

Brentford midfielder Yegor Yarmoliuk is a doubt with a hip injury while Aaron Hickey could also be sidelined due to a knee problem.

Antoni Milambo and Josh Dasilva are both out with knee injuries for the visitors.

The stats

Crystal Palace have won just one of their eight Premier League games against Brentford (drawing five and losing two).

Brentford achieved a league double over the Eagles last season, winning 2-1 home and away.

Both Crystal Palace and Brentford have each scored in all of the last six meetings between the sides.

Crystal Palace are unbeaten in their last 10 matches at Selhurst Park, (winning five and drawing five).

Prediction

Crystal Palace had stuttered after their 18-game unbeaten run was ended by Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium in early October.

The Eagles needed a 90th-minute penalty to draw with Bournemouth before losing at home to AEK Larnaca in the Conference League and away at Arsenal in the Premier League.

However, heading into the next game with Brentford, Palace will have been buoyed after knocking Liverpool out of the Carabao Cup at Anfield on Wednesday, albeit it was a second string Reds side.

Brentford are playing with great confidence having also beaten champions Liverpool last Saturday which was followed up by a 5-0 victory over Grimsby in the League Cup.

Also winning against Manchester United, it was a memorable month for the Bees who will want to kick off November with another victory.

While Palace’s record against Brentford is not the best, having only won one in eight, the Eagles’ home form remains strong.

With Jean-Philippe Mateta leading the line, Oliver Glasner’s men can be confident of finding the net on Saturday and should bounce back from a difficult spell to edge out their London rivals.
