Unbeaten leaders Coventry head to Portsmouth
Southampton have had six draws as they head to Bristol City
Stoke have lost each of their last four at Millwall
Frank Lampard's Coventry City lead the way in the Championship, but face a tricky trip to Portsmouth hoping to protect, or even extend, their advantage at the top of the table.
That is one of 12 matches in a full midweek programme in the second tier and here is how we see the games panning out.
Blackburn Rovers vs Sheffield United (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
Blackburn Rovers have managed one point from a possible 12 at Ewood Park this season, while Sheffield United have managed one goal in five matches on their travels.
United have been involved in seven 1-0 scorelines in their last nine, so it is best perhaps not to expect a classic.
Score prediction: Blackburn 0-1 Sheffield United
Derby County vs Norwich City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
Two teams locked together on eight points, one point clear of the relegation zone, meet in what is sure to be a tense affair at Derby County's Pride Park.
Norwich City should be happier away from Carrow Road, with under-fire Liam Manning's men having won three, drawn two and lost just one of six away games in all competitions.
Score prediction: Derby County 1-2 Norwich City
Hull City vs Leicester City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
Back-to-back wins over Sheffield United and Birmingham City have seen Hull City climb the table, though their only wins this season have come against bottom-nine outfits.
Leicester City are a long way from that, though five draws in their last six indicate they can be frustrated.
Score prediction: Hull City 1-1 Leicester City
Ipswich Town vs Charlton Athletic (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
Fifteen points represents a fantastic start for Charlton Athletic, who are completely upstaging the two teams they came up with from League One.
The Addicks fear no one and certainly will not be fazed by a trip to Ipswich Town, beaten 2-1 at Middlesbrough last Friday.
Score prediction: Ipswich Town 2-2 Charlton Athletic
Millwall vs Stoke City (Tuesday, 7.45pm)
Each of Stoke City's last seven games has produced two goals or less, so do not go expecting too many fireworks at the Den.
Millwall's three losses this season have all come at home, where one goal could be all it takes to separate these two.
Score prediction: Millwall 0-1 Stoke City
Portsmouth vs Coventry City (Tuesday 7.45pm)
Having just taken four points off Middlesbrough (1-0) and Leicester (1-1), Portsmouth will be relishing the challenge of a visit from the leaders Coventry City.
However, Frank Lampard's side can do no wrong at the moment – they have won four in a row and not conceded a goal in six weeks – so should take care of business.
Score prediction: Portsmouth 0-2 Coventry City
Preston North End vs Birmingham City (7.45pm)
Birmingham City may keep the ball better than most – 57 per cent possession – but they are not winning games and the pressure is on boss Chris Davies.
Preston North End have beaten Leicester and Ipswich at Deepdale this season and also drawn with Middlesbrough, so can heap the pressure on the Blues.
Score prediction: Preston North End 1-0 Birmingham City
Bristol City vs Southampton (Tuesday, 8.00pm)
Draw kings Southampton – six stalemates in 10 – are carving out chances but not taking many, though surely that has to change.
Bristol City have not won any of their last three at home and Saints' typical barrage of shots has to come off eventually.
Score prediction: Bristol City 2-3 Southampton
Swansea City vs Queens Park Rangers (Wednesday, 7.45pm)
Only Derby average fewer shots per game than Swansea City (10.1) and that lack of ambition in the final third does not augur well for the Welshmen.
QPR, in contrast, are an attractive side who will attack from wide, create chances and with a bit of luck can notch a timely away win.
Score prediction: Swansea City 1-3 Queens Park Rangers
Watford vs West Brom (Wednesday, 7.45pm)
Javi Gracia's return to Watford began badly with a 1-0 loss at Sheffield United.
His second game in charge promises a little better against an inconsistent West Brom, who beat Preston 2-1 on Saturday but who have not gone back-to-back in all competitions for over a year.
Score prediction: Watford 2-2 West Brom
Wrexham vs Oxford United (Wednesday, 7.45pm)
Wrexham are without a win in four, with three of those ending in draws and Oxford United, fresh from pipping Derby 1-0, will not be rolled over easily.
Score prediction: Wrexham 1-1 Oxford United
Sheffield Wednesday vs Middlesbrough (Wednesday, 8.00pm)
Things are looking bleak for Sheffield Wednesday, who have been scouring the country looking for a goalkeeper with Ethan Horvath ruled out by suspension.
That cannot augur well against attack-minded MIddlesborugh.
Score prediction: Sheffield Wednesday 2-4 Middlesbrough
