The FIFA 22 release is approaching ever closer and the unveiling of the game’s player ratings has only added to the excitement.

Ahead of the release of football’s most popular game on October 1, EA Sports have revealed the top 11 highest-rated players on the latest edition.

With none of the stars rating lower than 90, Ultimate Team fans all over the world will be desperate to get their hands on them once the game lands.

11. Marc-Andre ter Stegen — GK, Barcelona (90)

Barcelona have had a tough summer but still have a player inside the top 11 players in the world — according to EA Sports — in the form of goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The German has been an assured presence as No1 at the Nou Camp since arriving from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014, winning four LaLiga titles and the Champions League.

10. Manuel Neuer — GK, Bayern Munich (90)

He is still keeping Ter Stegen out of the Germany starting XI but Manuel Neuer is rated the same as his counterpart when it comes to FIFA 22.

The 35-year-old has been marshalling the Bayern Munich goal since 2011 and is still regarded as one of the best stoppers in the world.

The Frenchman has been upgraded two points from the last edition following his eye-catching displays as the Blues lifted the Champions League in 2020-21.

8. Harry Kane — ST, Tottenham (90)

It was yet another impressive season for Harry Kane as he finished last season’s top scorer in the Premier League with 23 goals, while he was also the top creator with 14 assists.

Like Kante, his impressive season has earned him an upgrade of two from the last game, firmly placing him as one of the best No9s to own.

7. Jan Oblak — GK, Atletico Madrid (91)

Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak edges out his goalkeeping counterparts by one point to see him take the mantle as the best stopper on the game.

6. Neymar — LW, Paris Saint-Germain (91)

Brazilian Neymar is the first of Paris Saint-Germain’s star-studded front three who are included in the game’s top six players.

The skilful forward will be a highly coveted asset for anyone to own after dazzling for Barcelona and now PSG.

Despite that, the Manchester United superstar still boasts incredible stats for a 36-year-old and looks set for a strong year at his new club.

2. Robert Lewandowski — ST, Bayern Munich (92)

The man who has displaced Ronaldo is goal machine Robert Lewandowski, who comes off the back of an astonishing season in the Bundesliga and Champions League.

The 33-year-old netted 48 goals in 40 games in all competitions last season, and already has 10 this campaign.

1. Lionel Messi — RW, Paris Saint-Germain (93)

He brought his long stay at Barcelona to an end this summer but there has been no change for Lionel Messi as FIFA’s highest-rated player for the third year running.
