Sunday's focus is centred firmly on a top-quality card coming up from Fairyhouse

A sublime day of racing lies ahead on the Emerald Isle this Sunday afternoon as Fairyhouse plays host to a Grade 1 treble, headlined by their Hatton's Grace Hurdle where superstar mare Honeysuckle defends an unbeaten record.

It's an eight-race card at the Co Meath venue, with action from 12pm-3.40pm and conditions are set to be 'Good-good to yielding in places' for a card that also boasts the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle and the Drinmore Novice Chase.

LiveScore Five To Follow at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

1.05pm - Baroneracing.com Royal Bond Novice Hurdle (Grade 1, 2m)

The first of the Grade 1 contests on the Fairyhouse card and this is stacked with quality.

Gordon Elliott has a strong hand with Mighty Potter and Three Stripes Life, while Willie Mullins will hope a challenge comes from Statuaire, Farout or Artic Warrior but Colm Murphy might usurp the powerhouse pairing with IMPERVIOUS.

The mare only debuted in August but she's won 3-3 quickly and last month's Down Royal Grade 3 success was impressive visually and on the clock.

Like Statuaire, she gets 7lb from the geldings and should go well in a strongly run race.

Gavin Cromwell's Navan Grade 3 scorer My Mate Mozzie is another serious contender in a racing oozing potential.

LiveScore Selection: Impervious

1.35pm - Baroneracing.com Drinmore Novice Chase (Grade 1, 2m4f)

Another novice event laced with star potential. Cape Gentleman was put in his place at Punchestown a fortnight ago by Riviere D'etel but Emmet Mullins' stable star isn't discounted.

Gabynako won a Beginners Chase here this month with Fury Road chasing him home, they are players and potential improvers but LIFETIME AMBITION makes most appeal for Jessica Harrington.

He had re-opposing Beacon Edge behind in second in an impressive Down Royal win last month, a race won by the likes of Delta Work, Samcro and Envoi Allen in recent times, while third home Vanillier easily won a Punchestown Grade 2 since and he can show them a clean pair of hooves again.

LiveScore Selection: Lifetime Ambition

2.05pm - Baroneracing.com Porterstown Handicap Chase (Grade B, 3m5f)

James Nash's course winner FORZA MILAN was fourth in this contest a year ago on soft going and was a winner here over shorter on his next start.

He's been reliable enough since without winning and he finds himself rated 3lb lower this time around.

He's likely to give his running again and looks an each-way contender as such.

LiveScore Selection: Forza Milan

2.40pm - Baroneracing.com Hatton's Grace Hurdle (Grade 1, 2m4f)

Honeysuckle is looking to complete a hat-trick of Hatton's Grace Hurdle wins
Honeysuckle is looking to complete a hat-trick of Hatton's Grace Hurdle wins

A real 'home game' for the golden girls of jumps racing as HONEYSUCKLE and Rachael Blackmore get set to defend their Hatton's Grace crown.

The superstar mare has won all 12 career starts and six of those have come around Fairyhouse, four at this C&D, including the last two renewals of this contest.

This is a decent renewal, in both numbers and quality of opposition, but no reason to suspect the brilliant Henry De Bromhead-trained mare will meet with defeat.

LiveScore Selection: Honeysuckle

3.10pm - Baroneracing.com Handicap Hurdle (Grade A, 2m)

Second behind Impervious in a Down Royal Grade 3 novice last month, SIT DOWN LUCY has since filled the same berth behind Top Bandit at Punchestown and now Peter Fahey's Doyen mare turns her attention back to handicapping after what amounted to improved performances in defeat.

She may need another step forward but she's got a light weight to carry and is one of the interesting outsiders in among the likes of Whiskey Sour, Glens Of Antrim, Eskylane and Magic Tricks.

LiveScore Selection: Sit Down Lucy
