Vincent Kompany will make an emotional return to the Etihad after Burnley were paired with his former club in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Kompany's Clarets had a last-gasp Connor Roberts goal to thank for a 1-0 win over 10-man Fleetwood as they booked their place in the last eight.

That narrow victory saw the Championship leaders rewarded with a tie against City, who Kompany won four Premier League titles with during a glittering spell in Manchester.

Elsewhere, Grimsby have another giant-killing in their sights after dumping out Southampton in the fifth round.

A trip to the Amex to face Brighton will hold no fear for the League Two outfit following their shock 2-1 victory at St Mary's.

How much do clubs get paid for appearing in the FA Cup quarter-finals?

The winners of each quarter-final will walk away with £450,000.

In addition, the live broadcast fee is £200,000 per club.
