Kyler Murray made his return for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13, and it was announced with a call back to one of the most famous statements in US sport.

Quarterback Murray had missed the last three games for the Cardinals with an ankle injury, but he returned for 9-2 Arizona's road game with the Chicago Bears.

And the Cardinals confirmed his participation for the game at Soldier Field with a social media post inspired by a Chicago icon.

Mimicking Michael Jordan's famous statement announcing his decision to end his retirement from the NBA in 1995, the Cardinals posted a Tweet with an image of a mocked-up document that read: "The following statement was released today by Kyler Murray, located in Chicago, IL, in response to questions about his playing status against the Bears: 'I'm back.'"

The Cardinals went into the game looking to further cement their grip on the top seed in the NFC playoff race with victory over the 4-7 Bears.
