- Each of PSG's last five games have produced over 3.5 goals
- Both teams have scored in each of Dortmund's last five contests
- Recommended bet:
Over 3.5 goals

Borussia Dortmund and PSG both recovered from first-leg defeats to progress from the quarter-finals of the Champions League and they could serve up a classic in the last four.

Dortmund were beaten 2-1 by Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their quarter-final, but recovered to win the second leg 4-2 at Signal Iduna Park.

PSG, meanwhile, were beaten 3-2 on their own patch by Barcelona, but took things up a gear at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys with an eye-catching 4-1 win.

Team news

Hosts Dortmund could be without Donyell Malen, Ramy Bensebaini and Sebastien Haller for the first leg of this semi-final tie.

Sergio Rico is sidelined for PSG, who will be hoping that Presnel Kimpembe will be fit enough to feature, but Layvin Kurzawa is ruled out.

Edin Terzic's Borussia Dortmund face a huge test of their mettle when they host PSG in the semi-finals.

The stats

Each of PSG's last five fixtures have featured over 3.5 goals, having produced a total of 26 goals.

Both teams have scored in each of Borussia Dortmund's last five assignments.

PSG have won three of their last four fixtures in all competitions, while they also took four points off Borussia Dortmund in the group stage.

Prediction

This first leg should not disappoint and there are reasons to favour and oppose both sides.

PSG have hit form at just the right time, winning three matches in a row by 4-1 scorelines before their 3-3 draw with Le Havre, but they have a tendency to fall apart in the Champions League.

Dortmund, meanwhile, lost 4-1 to RB Leipzig on Saturday and have blown hot and cold, but they are a tough nut to crack in front of the 'Yellow Wall' at Signal Iduna Park.

With that in mind, goals could instead be the way to go.

Each of PSG's last five contests have featured over 3.5 goals, generating a total of 26 strikes and they know where the net is, with Kylian Mbappe – who has scored eight Champions League goals this term – leading the line.

Dortmund, meanwhile, have seen both teams score in each of their last five fixtures in all competitions.

But while they know where the goal is, defensively they have been porous, as was evident in the 4-1 loss to Leipzig at the weekend.

Both of these clubs had the second legs of their quarter-finals feature at least four goals and that looks like the best bet at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday.
