Brentford boss Thomas Frank will be after another victory this weekend at Ipswich

- Brentford could secure UEFA Conference place yet this season
- Ipswich were relegated last month
- Recommended bet:
Yoane Wissa to score anytime

Brentford are finishing the season strongly and the Bees can stay in the mix for a top-eight finish — and possible UEFA Conference League football next term — by seeing off Championship-bound Ipswich.

The Bees are ninth, but there is a scenario where eighth would be good enough to secure a European place, and Thomas Frank's men have momentum on their side.

Ipswich, in contrast, have already been relegated and are preparing for life back in the Championship after a very difficult campaign.

Team news

Ipswich's absentee list remains large with Conor Townsend, Wes Burns, Chiedozie Ogbene, Jaden Philogene and Sammie Szmodics all still out injured.

Leif Davis is suspended for the hosts, while Axel Tuanzebe and Nathan Broadhead are both major doubts.

Brentford will be without Myles Peart-Harris, Aaron Hickey, Joshua Dasilva, Vitaly Janelt and Fabio Carvalho for the trip to Portman Road.

The stats

Ipswich have won just once at home in the league this season.

Town have lost their last seven matches at Portman Road, conceding 24 goals in the process.

Brentford have won their last three league games.

Yoane Wissa has hit 18 goals in the league this season, including four in his last four appearances.

The earlier fixture between the sides this season finished 4-3 to Brentford when Wissa scored twice.

Prediction

Brentford should emerge comfortable winners on Saturday as they continue to chase not just a top-half finish but potentially European football for next term.

Frank's men have had a great season and are ending it very well with victories over Brighton, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United in their last three games.

Up against a Town outfit shorn of confidence and one that has lost its last seven games at Portman Road, this should be a comfortable away win in which in-form Wissa can again shine.

The DR Congo forward has scored 18 goals in all competitions this season, including four in his last four appearances, and he can maintain his impressive streak with another in East Anglia.

Wissa scored twice in the 4-3 win over the Tractor Boys at home in October and he can again haunt Kieran McKenna's side.
