Transfer Talk: United to keep Martial despite Juve interest
Juventus are keen on Manchester United forward Anthony Martial as they look to bring in support for Serbian hotshot Dusan Vlahovic.
But United have told the Frenchman he is not for sale after an impressive pre-season.
Martial, 26, looked guaranteed to be one of the stars new boss Erik ten Hag would try to dispense with heading into the 2022-23 campaign.
Indeed, the Mirror say that the Red Devils were willing to listen to offers for the ex-Monaco forward.
After making only eight Premier League appearances for United last term before a January loan switch to Sevilla, Martial then flopped in Andalucia and failed to net in nine LaLiga games.
But he has enjoyed a fantastic first month under Ten Hag after being among the group of players who were first to report back at the end of June.
Martial has started all four games up front, scoring three times in the process, and was on target in impressive victories against Liverpool, Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace.
Alvaro Morata’s two-year loan at Juve has ended, meaning boss Max Allegri is keen to land attacking reinforcements to support January signing Vlahovic.
But Martial is unlikely to move to the Old Lady as he looks primed to resurrect his United career and play an important role in Ten Hag's first season at Old Trafford.
