Man City to win and both teams to score

Manchester City will look to maintain their Premier League title charge when they entertain Wolves at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

The defending champions are only a point behind Arsenal, but they do have a game in hand over Mikel Arteta's men.

With the Gunners in action at lunch-time against Bournemouth, City will likely be four points behind when they kick-off, but they will expect to overcome Gary O'Neil's side on home turf.

Team news

Phil Foden and Ruben Dias missed the trip to Nottingham Forest due to illness and they are expected to return to the starting XI. Striker Erling Haaland started last week's game on the bench, but he is set to replace Julian Alvarez from the start.

O'Neil has already lost Craig Dawson and Leon Chiwone for the rest of the campaign due to groin and ankle injuries respectively, while Pedro Neto misses Saturday's clash due to a hamstring issue. Midfielder Tommy Doyle is unable to play against his parent club.

Santiago Bueno (thigh), Rayan Ait-Nouri (knee), Noha Lemina (thigh), and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (knee) will all need to be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Gary O'Neil has enjoyed a fine first season in charge of Wolves, but their form has tailed off in recent weeks.

The stats

Wolves will look to complete the league double over Manchester City this weekend, having won the first meeting 2-1 in September at Molineux.

O'Neil's side ended their seven-match winless run last weekend with a 2-1 win over Luton, while on the road, they are without a win in four.

However, they have only lost two of their last 10 away from Molineux in all competitions.

City are unbeaten at home in the Premier League this season, but they have only kept six clean sheets in those 17 matches.

Prediction

City look destined for another Premier League title thanks to their current form and that will be their main focus after they were knocked out of the Champions League on penalties by Real Madrid.

While they have won five league games in a row, City were very fortunate to keep a clean sheet against Forest, and Wolves have proven to be tough to beat on their travels.

City's defence has been relatively weak throughout the campaign, and Wolves should get some joy before falling short at the Etihad Stadium.
