| We hope you have enjoyed following this enthralling final with us. It has been a thrilling contest between two sides that fought right till the end. This is only the second time that a side chasing in the IPL final has come out victorious. |
| KKR hold the trophy high in the air. The men in purple are screaming and are being covered in some golden glitter. Narine is lifted up in the air, he has contributed immensly to this achievement. |
| Gambhir: Only one word comes to mind, mission accomplished. We knew we had the side to go all the way. People had questioned our middle order but I knew they would come good when it really mattered. Balaji is our unsung hero, it was tough for him to miss out on this match before his home crowd and we were playing for him. It is tough to go out and chase 190 against a home side that is defending their title. It just shows Bisla's character that he could go out there and play such an innings. I think it is the team that makes a captain look good. I wore my pads through the innings as a superstition but then again the guys played some brilliant cricket. I want to thank Kolkata for their support and I hope we have made them very happy tonight. |
| Dhoni: Well it was a big total, that's why we wanted to bat first. I think in the second half the ball started coming on to the bat better. But someone needed to bat well and Bisla and Kallis gave KKR a really good partnership. Cricket is a game of plus ten and minus ten if you lose you think you were short of ten odd runs. I think the batsmen did really well in the first half, it is just that the individuals from the other side did better and won. It got close at the end but there was no reverse swing and that's why it got tougher for the bowlers to bowl those wide yorkers at the end. I am proud of the way we played. |
| Narine: It has been a pleasure playing here. I have been talking to my parents a lot and the people in Trinidad have been backing me. Hopefully I can be picked for the England series and hopefully I can go there and do well. |

| Bisla: Obviously it feels great to win the match but it feels even better that I have played a big part in it. Brendon is a class player, he is a legend. Due to Balaji's injury we had to change the eleven. Luckily I got a chance today. I wasn't sure that we would win until that last boundary. We are going to have a big party tonight |

| It has been a long wait for KKR and they have finally done it. Chennai will feel gutted, they got very close to making it three consecutive trophies. Then again, the side that held their nerve came out on top and that's what differentiates champion sides from good teams. |
| Bisla: There was no plan, I just wanted to enjoy today's match. I was playing and I got a little tense when Gambhir got out but after I got my shots going I grew in confidence. Kallis is a legend and batting alongside him is a great opportunity for me. He just asked me to keep it simple and keep playing my shots. |
| Shahrukh Khan: I am extremely happy today. I would like to thank Gautam and the boys. We have fought hard and we have been resilient. I would like to thank Chennai and its supporters for their hospitality. |
| KKR were really up against it when they had to chase a total of 191. They had their backs to the wall when they lost their skipper and the in form batsman Gambhir. Bisla then showed everyone just why he was picked in place of McCullum. He unleashed some fearless cricket and really tore through Chennai's attack. Kallis played some nonchalant cricket along side him and just kept rotating the strike. Once Bisla perished Kallis took over and employed some aggressive strokes of his own. Just when it looked like KKR might walk through this they lost wickets in a heap. |
| Lee: I think I'm just sweating because of the stress and because of lifting SRK. I think it has been an amazing win. We have bonded very well in this tournament, it isn't just the guys who are playing who have contributed to this. Every single one who has trained with us has contributed and the support staff as well. |
| What a sight this is, SRK is celebrating with his entire team and all his support staff. Spare a thought for Kallis, everyone criticised him for the pace at which he played his cricket in this tournament but today he paced it to perfection |
